Weather: SNOWING ❄️☃️🌨😃
I have no other things of the day as I am dying with a tooth infection hence my absence yesterday – I currently look like the elephant man. I have not got out of my bed for 24 hours but I did read this book in one sitting. It has gone straight into my top 10 – I loved it.
God bless us, everyone 💖🐭
Weather: Not snowing
Carol/song of the day: Deck the halls
Christmas film/TV of the day: Vicar of Dibley – The Christmas Lunch one
Christmas tip of the day: Use white poster paint to put snow on your windows not that spray snow in a can rubbish
Look fantastic have been killing it with the box designs this year and every month they just keep getting better and better. This month’s is absolutely stunning and I love it. (more…)
Since my mum passed away in the summer I have had no motivation or inclination to come and update this blog. My subscription boxes arrived and I could muster up a ‘meh’ – even the whole My Little Box debacle couldn’t lift me out of my fug. Yes I was still make – up crazy and invested in a new ‘layout’ for my beauty studio (spare room) and went crazy time at the MAC store at Birmingham New Street Station but to actually write about it? Nah. (more…)
To be frank, the only reasons I bought this are:
- it was Elizabeth Arden
- It was reduced from £32 to £6.99 – I kid thee not
I had no idea what it was when I got it – it was just CHEAP and in a really nice gold shiny box so even if the contents were rubbish it would make a nice ornament. Yes I am THAT girl e.g I have Jo Malone Hand wash and Hand Cream in my bathroom and no-one is allowed to touch them as they are ORNAMENTS. (more…)
I shared this with Allie as I had mentioned once that my mum had met Diana and I promised I would show her the picture. I have seen the pics many times but only today did I notice the pure joy on my mums face. My mum was a volunteer at the local hospice and was lucky to get to meet her outside and then later in private. Both are great ladies and I just wanted to share.
Thank you to everyone for all your lovely messages they have brought me comfort and I appreciate them and you all so very much 💖💖
It is with a heavy and broken heart that I have to tell you that my lovely, wonderful mum passed away last night. She died in my arms and didn’t suffer.
Thank you to all those new friends who showed us love and best wishes

I didn’t do a spoiler post so you can see my unboxing here:
I was not as thrilled as I usually am but it was a good box. I initially loved it but to be honest I have only used 2 of the products: the water bottle and the vitamin scrub. The rest of the items are still in the box on my ‘oh look pretty boxes’ shelf.
The lip balm I am saving for the summer as I have soooooo many at the mo. It has gorge packing is nice and summery – here in the NW of England it is freezing so its not quite the time for pink flamingo balms. The scarf is cute but just not for me. Its really good quality and I will probably send it off to the summer fair or something.
The coconut flakes – one snort and they were gone but they were OK.
The water bottle is just bloody gorgeous and goes everywhere with me – HIT!
The facial scrub ‘vitamin shot’ looks scarey when you open it as it is vivid orange and the scrubby bits look huge but it is amazing; my skin is very sensitive but this was so nice to use. I am miffed we cannot purchase My Little Beauty in the UK yet as i would DEFFO repurchase this.
The MIXA lotion was a new thing for me and I have to say although the packaging is far from pretty this stuff is the best. As well as being sensitive my skin is so dry but this stuff hydrates it amazingly and absorbs great so there is no waiting about to get dressed etc. LOVE IT.
The box was OK, not the best but OK I would give it a 7/10
